Being Positive!

Beauty tip of the week! Being Positive.

This week begin the transformation in training yourself to only focus on the positive side of yourself and throw out the negative thoughts! Here is your task, visualize yourself with your eyes closed, what is your favorite thing about you!? Now, write down what it is that you love about yourself both on the inside and out. Post this on your bathroom mirror or somewhere you will see it everyday! Read it often and each time you look in the mirror make sure to only think positive thoughts! Let this become your focus feature! Remember that the more positive you feel the more beautiful you will feel!

BEAUTY TIP OF THE WEEK-HOW TO WEAR RED LIPSTICK FOR YOUR AGE!

I absolutely LOVE red lips! Red lips look good on everyone and really can spice up any occasion! For me when I put red lipstick on its like putting on a pair of high heels. My confidence is boosted and I feel fabulous! So this week, give it a try! Put on some red lipstick and see how you feel! I bet you won't be able to turn back, you'll just love it! It's time to shine with RED! :)

Now here are some great tips of the kind of red you can do at any age!

20's-shimmery, sparkle, just have fun! This is a time in life to play it up! :)
30's- Flirty! Think a little more mature 20's!
40's-Sheer lip, No shimmer
50's Deep lip w/minimal makeup
60's-Clear, nice, and creamy

Remember that when you are doing a bold lip, make that be the focus of your face. So this means, don't go overboard on color on the other areas of your face. Let your lips be the focus!

Beauty tip of the week-Moisturize!

Want beautiful healthy skin?! Well then here is the #1 tip I can give you! MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE!!! Find the right moisturizer for your own skin and make sure to use this in the morning and in the evening when you go to bed. In the morning use a moisturizer either with SPF in it or add a sunscreen to your daily skin care regiment, this will help protect your skin through out the day. Use sunscreen all year round, even when the sun is not out. Remember the earlier you start to use moisturizer and sunscreen the better your skin will age, but remember it is NEVER too late to start taking care of your skin! These tips are going to leave your skin looking fresh and glowing with youth! Good luck Gorgeous!

BEAUTY TIP OF THE WEEK!

When you are wanting a good exfoliant, try sugar! It works great and leaves your skin and lips looking fabulous! Add sugar to your cleanser 2-3 times a week and use as an exfoliant! Try adding a little sugar mixed with water to your lips and gently scrub for 15 seconds and rinse. You may also want to add sugar to a liquid soap and use this to get dead skin cells off in the shower! Make sure after doing any of these things to use a moisturizer that best suits your skin to leave it looking smooth and gorgeous! Enjoy!

My favorite summer salad!

This recipe is soo yummy! Try it out! It is a family favorite and I am sure your family will love it too! :)

Raspberry Jello Pretzel Salad

2 c. crushed pretzels
3/4 c. melted butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 small can crushed pineapple(drained)
1 c. sugar
1 lg. box raspberry Jello
2 pkg. frozen raspberries


Mix together crushed pretzels, melted butter and the 2 tablespoons of sugar. Then press in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Mix cream cheese, Cool Whip, 1 small can of crushed(drained) pineapple and 1 cup of sugar; pour over pretzel crust.

Dissolve large package of raspberry Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add 1 package of frozen raspberries not drained. Let Jello set up slightly. Next Mix well and pour over pretzel/cream cheese layers. Chill for a couple hours.
